New Feature: Digital Wallet Support for OTC Payments
Digital Wallet payments are now available for all OTC transactions on accounts utilizing the latest IDTECH VPC devices or integrated payment devices such as Clover and Lane terminals.
This release introduces digital wallet and tap-to-pay support for OTC payments on compatible devices, along with enhancements to the EMV checkout interface that make payment device selection clearer and easier for office staff.
Overview
What's Changed:
- Device selection options have been simplified and clarified.
- Selecting the VPC payment option now enables:
- Digital Wallet payments
- Tap-to-pay transactions
- Standard physical card transactions
Physical Card Transactions (VPC)
- Physical card payments on VPC devices remain a single-tap experience.
Integrated Devices (Clover, Lane, etc.)
- Integrated devices will generally continue to require two taps when a service fee is present.
Digital Wallet Transactions
- Digital Wallet payments will typically require two or more taps, depending on the transaction configuration and cart contents.
- The checkout interface will clearly indicate:
- How many taps are required
- When the customer should present their device for each tap
